The Latin American Association of Methodist Institutions of Education (ALAIME) is holding it yearly International Congress in 2025. After having its latest edition in 2024 in Puebla, Mexico, the association is now going to Argentina. The event will coincide with the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Education Center [Centro Educativo Latinoamericano] (CEL) in the city of Rosario, Argentina. The school was founded as the American College on May 28, 1875, by The Reverend Thomas Wood for the education of women. Decades later, the school evolved to provide the seeds to form a university, the Universidad del Centro Educativo Latinoamericano (UCEL).
The conference theme is “Methodist Education: Contributions to Life in Democracy.” Among the speakers, participants will have the opportunity to learn from Lic. Filipe Esteban Cortéz (Chile), Mag. Leonardo Félix (Argentina), and Dr. Isabelino Siede (Argentina). The event will also include parallel events such as the Meeting of Latin American Chaplains and the International Student conference.
