The IAMSCU Executive Committee met on August 29, 2025, and is now working on the details of the agenda for IAMSCU’s participation in the Joint Conference of the African Association of Methodist Institutions of Higher Education Meeting (AAMIHE) and the African Association of United Methodist Theological Institutions (AAUMTI), to be held on October 13-15, 2025, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The IAMSCU Board of Directors was invited to attend the event and, upon accepting the invitation, it is holding a hybrid meeting (in person and online) during the conference. This will also enable the members of the IAMSCU Board of Directors to learn more directly about the long tradition of Methodist education on the African continent.
The Executive Committee is approving the agenda for the IAMSCU meeting in South Africa, which is scheduled for Monday, October 13, 2025, at 14:00-17:00 SAST (local time in South Africa) and includes strategic discussions about future meetings in Africa and other forms of collaboration. The Executive Committee is constituted by the IAMSCU Officers, including the President, Vice-President, Immediate Past President, and Executive Secretary as well as three Officers at Large. They meet quarterly to implement the decisions of the IAMSCU Board of Directors and oversee the work of the association.
