The Human Rights Network of the International Association of Methodist Scholls, Colleges, and Universities (IAMSCU) met virtually on January 23, 2023 to plan its next activities. The network connects scholars from different parts of the world to discuss about Human Rights in the Wesleyan tradition. One of the emerging concerns of the IAMSCU Human Rights Network is the rights of Indigenous Peoples. Therefore, they are planning various activities to continue to discuss and promote activities on this theme. Network members are also interested in learning more about how the academic leadership of schools, colleges, seminaries, and universities in various parts of the world are addressing issues of indigenous lands and environmental rights, especially when these institutions are located in areas that were originally inhabited by Indigenous Peoples., The network will promote events as part of the IAMSCU Conference in England (April 26 to May 2, 2023) and it is also planning an event in the United States during the second half of 2023.
