December 2025
To the members and friends of IAMSCU,
Greetings from the International Association of Methodist Schools, Colleges, and Universities (IAMSCU) during this Advent Season, as we prepare to celebrate Christmas and start a New Year with renewed energy, intentionality, and hope.
Advent and Christmas remind us that the schools, colleges, seminaries, and universities connected to IAMSCU have always been inspiring places that promote meaningful celebrations proclaiming the central message of Christmas: “Peace on Earth”! I hope that the campuses of our institutions may continue to be places of joy, and hope. I also hope that our institutions continue to inspire students, faculty, staff, administrators, and our communities to be vehicles of this peace in our own times and locations.
Advent and Christmas give us also the opportunity to turn our attention to the “Holy Land,” and once again be reminded that Jesus Christ was born in the little town of Bethlehem, in Palestine. We wish that the coming of the “Prince of Peace” may bring calm and tranquility to this turbulent world. As it was in the times of the tyranny by Herod and the Roman Empire, the Holy Land and other places on the globe continue to be the scenario of tensions that require our solidarity. So, again, “Peace on Earth!”
On behalf of the whole IAMSCU international network, we wish you all an enjoyable time with families, friends, and communities during the Season celebrations and may the Lord bless us during this New Year 2026, when IAMSCU will celebrate 35 years!
Adriana B. Murriello
President of IAMSCU
