After the success of the IAMSCU International Meeting held in Gothenburg (Sweden), which explored the theme “Community, Conciliation, and Connectionalism,” the leaders of the association began to focus on a series of plans to prepare the organization for its future. This international event took place on August 12-13 and served as follow-up on the Joint IAMSCU-MSN International Conference “Transforming Lives,” held in the United Kingdom in April 2023. Shortly afterwards, IAMSCU partnered with the World Methodist Council and its Education Committee to offer various panels, workshops, and seminars focusing on Wesleyan and Methodist Education during the World Methodist Conference in Sweden.
IAMSCU is now planning a series of activities for 2025, including lectures, seminars, and other initiatives that will connect students, faculty, scholars, and leaders from Methodist-related educational institutions from around the world. After being involved in more internal discussions in recent months, the leaders of the association are now ready to share more information with its members and the worldwide community of Methodist educators.
