IAMSCU Research Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Education

The February edition of the APAMEI Global Forum, which is held in partnership with IAMSCU, will focus on Artificial Intelligence, its challenges, and opportunities. Leading researchers in this area will be discussing recent applications of artificial intelligence in educational settings, especially the controversial use of chatbots. APAIMEI wants to bring awareness about this issue and lead the way in discussing the ethical implications of this new technology.

The use of and influence of artificial intelligence in education has been an important theme for educators in recent years, but the latest version of ChatGPT has pushed this discussion into the mainstream. AI tools such as ChatGPT have the potential to support students and enhance the learning experience. But educators need to explore both the potential benefits and the challenges that come with this technology. This month’s APAMEI Forum brings together experts in the field to examine the pedagogical implications of AI chatbots, discuss the ethical concerns, and explore strategies to ensure that chatbots are used appropriately and effectively in higher education. It is intended to be an opportunity for university faculty, researchers, undergraduate and graduate students to participate in these discussions and learn from each other about the latest developments in ChatGPT and AI chatbots in higher education.
