The Network of Methodist Theological Institutions in Latin America (REDIME) is promoting its 2nd REDIME Conference on August 29, 2026, on the topic “Challenges for the Youth in the Contemporary Church and World” [Retos para la juventud en la iglesia y en el mundo actual]. This is a virtual event held in Spanish language and registration is open. This virtual conference will have Aylín Guadalupe Rodriguez as the main speaker. She is the Continental Coordinator of the Youth and Young Adults Program “Youth in Mission” of the Latin American Council of Methodist Churches (CIEMAL). The respondent is Rev. Luis Miguel Caviedes (Pastor of the Methodist Church in Colombia and member of CIEMAL’s “Youth in Mission” Program). This activity will serve as a space for reflection and dialogue about the challenges facing young people in the Church and the world today.
The Latin American Network for Theological Education (REDIME) is a network of theological institutions, theological leaders, faculty members and students interested in promoting Methodist theological education in Latin America and the Caribbean. The goal of the network is to foster mutual collaboration in theological education, ongoing formation of lay people and clergy, and a space to share about the challenges and opportunities for the Methodist Churches in the continent. One of the activities promoted by REDIME is a series of online conferences (3 per year).
