The Latin American Association of Methodist Institutions of Education (ALAIME) is preparing its Annual International Congress in 2026. After meeting in Puebla (Mexico) in 2024, then in Rosario (Argentina) in 2025, the event will now happen in Lima (Peru) in 2026. ALAIME will be hosted by the Colegio María Alvarado, in Lima. ALAIME has already shared the first details about its International Congress 2026! The association has provided information on Colegio María Alvarado, an institution with a century-long legacy that embodies the values of excellence and service that characterize Methodist education worldwide. Together with the ALAIME Board of Directors, the school is inviting ALAIME member institutions and other Methodist educational institutions to participate in this event.
The theme of the congress in 2026 is “Pedagogy of Tenderness and Care: Approaches in Methodist Education” [Una Pedagogía de la ternura y del cuidado: enfoques en la educación metodista]. As in previous editions, the congress will include several other events. The ALAIME Board of Directors will hold its annual meeting, there will be a gathering of Chaplains on October 2, and the Gathering of Secondary Students from October 2 to 4. The ALAIME International Congress will run parallel to these events, beginning on Friday (October 2) and concluding on Sunday (October 4).
