The Methodist International Student Exchange Network (MISEN) Moves Forward

After almost a year of meetings, discussions, exchanges, and events, a group of international Officers, faculty, and staff at 22 Methodist-related colleges, theological seminaries, and universities from five continents have concluded the process of rethinking and resetting the Methodist International Student Exchange Network (MISEN) in light of the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. This resetting includes a new structure for the network, a new Agreement to be signed by the various members, and new programs, including online activities that will expand the opportunities for study abroad, international exchange, lectures, and various other initiatives. The members of the network are launching a new MISEN Handbook, a new program called Café Alive – a virtual event in which students share their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic – and a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Program involving MISEN members.
