The World Council of Churches (WCC) promotes NIFEA training in South Korea

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is continuing with its discussions and initiatives regarding a New International and Financial Architecture (NIFEA) process. NIFEA is a collaborative ecumenical effort of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, World Council of Churches, Lutheran World Federation, World Methodist Council, and Council for World Mission, which is supported by funds from Otto per Mille.

The people working in this process are social thinkers, clergy, theologians, activists, and community leaders who represent social organizations, ecumenical institutions, and religious traditions. The group has gathered under the aegis of NIFEA and scheduled their meetings to coincide with the time when leaders of the G20 gather.
The NIFEA group has issued an invitation to Ecumenical School on Governance, Economics, and Management for an Economy of Life (NIFEA GEM School) to be held on August 18-29, 2025, in Seoul, South Korea. This year, we will be hosted in the Seminar House of Kwanlim Church, which is part of the Korean Methodist Church. The training event aims at exploring the intersectionality of theology, economy, and ecology.
