UCEL promoted an International Congress on Human Rights, held online on November 30 and December 1, 2023. The event celebrated the 75th anniversary of international declarations on human rights (1948) as well as the 40 years of reestablishment of democracy in Argentina (1983). The event includes lectures, panels, and other activities involving international experts. It will focus on the analysis of democratic transitions in Latin America, the recent trend of negating democratic developments and proposing a “democratic regression,” and the connection between religion and human rights, and a discussion about the juridical process in Argentina which brought about the prosecution of those responsible for genocide in Latin America.
