The Latin American Association of Methodist Educational Institutions (ALAIME) is promoting an event for high school students in partnership with, Colegio María Alvarado (Peru) and the Instituto Mexicano Madero (Mexico) on Friday, May 21, and Saturday, May 22, 2021. This activity is open to all institutions members of ALAIME and is extended to IAMSCU members institutions offering secondary education or higher education. The topic of the event is “Future Scenarios for University Students in a Post-pandemic Latin America.” Professor Amos Nascimentoand Mag. Claudia Lombardo will be the keynote speakers and will discuss how Latin American student can participate in new global scenario that is becoming reality as students, staff, faculty, and administrators as well as community members become vaccinated against COVID-19.

DATE AND TIME: The event will be held on Friday, May 21st and Saturday, May 22nd from 8:00 am to 12:15 pm (CDT / Mexico / GMT-5)
OBJECTIVE: To enhance the cultural knowledge, the integration and the exchange of experiences among the students of ALAIME.
ACTIVITIES: During the encounter participants will be able to join activities such as lectures/conferences, discussion forums, integrative moments, devotionals, and presentations will be held.
• Students must prepare in advance information and readings that will allow them to argue for or against a personal position or a country’s posture towards the sub topics of the encounter under a global, local, economic, political, social or environmental perspective.
• Some of the discussion forums will be carried out in English.
• 5 minutes will be given in which through a video a representative of each institution can present their school and city of origin, the objective of this activity is to get to know some institutions members of ALAIME. This material must be sent to the organising committee on May 14th at the latest.
